Zillow Brand Refresh

Problem: Refreshing the Zillow brand to underscore a new business model and company mission “giving people the power to unlock life’s next chapter,” buying and selling homes directly on the Zillow platform.

Solution: Design brand guidelines to act as the central building blocks for tone of voice, color, typographic styling and a new visual system for photos/icons/illustration.

My role: As senior designer, I helped shape the look and feel of the new brand across all mediums. Most prominently in the logo usage, typography, color and user testing to see how our audience might react to the bold new changes.

Persona Pictograms

It was important to give our contract illustrator strong direction around pictograms that fit each persona. Each image helps Zillow employees better understand our persona types. It was my responsibility to concept pictogram ideas with sketches for hand off to our illustrator.
